It was a bright morning. The sun shone brightly as Daniel and his dad walked to school. They laughed and talked about their favorite games. Daniel wore his blue backpack, ready for another fun day. His dad held his hand, making him feel safe and loved.
As they approached the busy street, the traffic light turned red. Daniel's dad stopped with a smile, pointing to the car and bikes waiting. “We must wait for the green light, buddy,” he said. Daniel nodded, looking at the shiny cars all lined up. This was one of the best moments of their walk, sharing stories while they waited.
“Did you know,” Dad began, “the traffic light was invented over a hundred years ago?” Daniel's eyes widened with surprise. “Really? That’s so cool!” he exclaimed. “Yes,” Dad continued, “and it helps keep us safe. So we can cross without worries.” Daniel felt proud to learn something new while waiting.
The green light finally turned on. “Let’s go!” shouted Daniel, tugging his dad's hand eagerly. They dashed across the road together, feeling the thrill of crossing safely. Daniel laughed joyfully, enjoying the sudden burst of freedom that came with the green light's approval.
As they reached the other side, Daniel turned to his dad, beaming with happiness. “Thank you for waiting, Dad! It was fun!” His dad smiled back, ruffling Daniel's hair. “Always, buddy. Safety is cool, too!” Together, they continued their journey to school, ready for new adventures awaiting them.
