Lila was a bubbly little girl who loved to help others. One sunny day, she said, "I want to help my neighbors!" Her mom smiled and said, "That's a great idea, Lila!" So, Lila grabbed her basket and filled it with cookies. She waved goodbye and started her adventure around the block. She knocked on Mr. Brown's door and exclaimed, "Hello! I brought you cookies!" Mr. Brown's face lit up with joy!
Lila then visited Mrs. Green, who was planting flowers in her garden. "Need help, Mrs. Green?" Lila asked. "Oh, thank you, dear!" Mrs. Green replied, smiling brightly. Lila dug and planted flowers, laughing as they worked together. By the end of the day, Lila felt happy and proud. She learned that helping others makes everyone smile.
Next, Lila skipped over to Mr. Blue's house. He was washing his car and looked a bit tired. 'Can I help you, Mr. Blue?' Lila asked eagerly. 'Sure, Lila! Here's a sponge,' he chuckled. Together, they splashed water and giggled, making the car shine bright like the sun.
After helping Mr. Blue, Lila decided to visit the park. There she saw little Timmy struggling to fly his new kite. 'Need a hand, Timmy?' she called out. With Lila's help, the kite soared high in the sky, and Timmy clapped with glee. 'Thank you, Lila!' he beamed, and they both watched the kite dance happily in the wind.
As the sun began to set, Lila walked home, feeling warm inside. She thought of all the smiles she had seen that day. 'I love helping my neighbors,' she said as she hugged her mom. Her mom gave her a big hug back, saying, 'You make the world a brighter place, Lila!' And Lila knew she would be a helper again tomorrow.
