Echo's New Song

Once upon a time, in a magical forest filled with singing flowers, lived a fairy named Echo. She was bright and sparkling, with tiny wings that shimmered like the stars. "Oh, Narcissus!" she called with a sweet voice, finding him by the crystal clear lake. "Please don’t stare at your reflection for too long! You must see the beauty around you!" But each time Narcissus only replied, "Why should I? I am the most beautiful of all!" Echo sighed, her heart heavy, knowing she was cursed to help him, again and again.

In her many lives, Echo learned how to find her voice, but now she wanted to sing a different song. "This time, I will save myself!" she declared under the moonlight. Her wings glowed brighter, and her spirit soared high. She whispered softly to the stars, seeking their wisdom. "How can I break this curse?" The stars twinkled back, guiding her, and Echo decided to leave the lake. She flew over mountains and valleys, her heart filled with hope, ready to find her own joy.

As Echo soared across the sky, she marveled at the dazzling world below her. Rivers and forests welcomed her with open arms, their whispers promising new adventures. She sang to the sunlit morning, her song as bright as the first rays of dawn. "I am free!" she declared, her voice carrying far and wide. With each note, she felt the heavy chains of the curse fall away, leaving her lighter than ever before.

Soon, Echo reached the Enchanted Glade, where wise old Willow resided. "Dear Willow," Echo pleaded, "how do I find my own purpose, separate from Narcissus?" The ancient tree rustled its leaves gently. "Listen to your heart, dear Echo," Willow advised, "for it knows the song you long to sing." Inspired by Willow's words, Echo listened closely to her heart's melody, a tune so sweet and unique that she knew it was her very own.

With newfound courage, Echo returned to the forest, but this time, she was different. She no longer sought Narcissus's approval but danced with the gentle breeze, creating her own joy. The flowers sang along, and the forest creatures joined her in celebration. Echo's song echoed through the trees, a melody of freedom and self-discovery. And thus, she learned that the most beautiful reflection was not in the lake, but the one she found within herself.
