Nasser was a young boy with a big dream. He wanted to catch birds and set them free. One sunny morning, he grabbed his net and ran outside. The garden was bright with colorful flowers, buzzing bees, and singing birds. Nasser smiled; today was the day!
He tiptoed quietly, hoping not to scare the birds away. His heart raced as he spotted a bluebird perched on a branch. With careful hands, he threw the net, and whoosh! The bluebird was caught. Nasser was excited and felt like a hero!
Next, he heard a chirping sound from the bushes. It was a group of sparrows flitting about! Nasser took a deep breath and launched his net again. The net flew and landed softly on them. One, two, three sparrows were now in his net. Nasser laughed in delight!
As he gathered the birds, he noticed a bright yellow canary singing high above him. Nasser decided he would catch that canary next. He crept close, careful not to make a sound. With a quick move, he threw the net again and caught the canary. It was so beautiful!
Nasser had now caught a total of six birds! He could hardly believe it. He watched them flutter and chirp inside the net, their little faces full of surprise. He thought for a moment and remembered how much he loved to see birds fly free.
With each catch, Nasser’s heart filled with joy, but he knew what he had to do. He sat down under a shady tree and opened his net. He wanted to let them go. One by one, he gently released each bird back into the open sky.
The bluebird flew up high, and Nasser felt a warm glow in his heart. The sparrows danced around him as if thanking him. The canary sang a sweet song before soaring away. Nasser smiled wide, feeling proud of his choice to free them.
Suddenly, he heard a rustling sound above him. Nasser looked up to see a beautiful red cardinal perched on a branch. This was his chance to catch one more bird! He carefully prepared his net again, determined to catch the cardinal.
He threw the net once more. The cardinal, startled, flew into the air. Nasser's heart sank, thinking he missed it. But wait! It landed on a nearby tree, curious about the boy below. Nasser felt hopeful again.
Finally, with a small chuckle, Nasser whispered to the cardinal, “You know what? Today is not just about catching birds. It's about caring for them.” The cardinal tilted its head, as if it understood. Nasser realized he had caught nine birds in spirit, but he had set them all free in his heart.
