Noah was sharp, but not always smart about what he did. Homework? Never finished. Chores? Forgotten. "I'm all done!" he yelled from his gaming chair. Papa Noah sighed as he walked past the messy room. Later, he discovered old socks and a crusty sandwich under the bed. No yelling, just a firm take of Noah's game controller until the room was clean.
One day, Noah said he was going to the library for a school project, but he really went to his friend's house. When he got back, Papa Noah was waiting. "Library, huh?" he asked, holding up Noah's library card. "Your story? Not true." Noah felt hot and ashamed. "Being honest is best," Papa Noah said with a warm smile. "Following rules helps keep things smooth. You've got to clean the garage for a week." Noah finally understood: telling the truth was easier than getting into trouble.
