Sammy and Mia’s Sharing Problem

Sammy and Mia were best friends who loved to play together every day. One sunny afternoon, they both wanted to play with the same bright red ball. Sammy shouted, “I want to play with the ball first!” Mia replied, “No, I want to play with it first!” They both grabbed the ball and started to pull. The ball slipped from their hands and rolled under the table. “Oh no!” said Sammy. “Now no one can play with it.”

Finally, Mia suggested, “How about we take turns? I’ll play first for five minutes, then you can.” Sammy smiled, “That sounds fair!” They shook hands and shared the ball happily.
