The Adventures of Sam the Boy Who Thought He Was Superman

"I can fly!" shouted Sam, standing on his bed. He had a red towel tied around his neck like a cape. His friends giggled, but Sam just smiled. "I’ll show you!" He jumped off the bed, arms stretched wide. But instead of soaring through the sky, he landed with a thud on the soft carpet. "Ouch!" he exclaimed, but that didn't stop him. "Supermen always get back up!" He quickly stood and adjusted his cape.

His friends watched in awe. Sam climbed the tree, reaching for the frightened cat. "Grab my hand!" he called. After a little struggle, he gently took the cat and climbed back down. The cat nuzzled against him, and Sam grinned. "See, I told you I’m Superman!"
