Maya was a curious girl who lived by the sea. She loved to explore the beach and collect pretty shells. One day, while looking for treasures in the sand, she saw a splash in the water. It was a beautiful mermaid! Her name was Marina, and she had long, flowing hair and a shimmering tail.

Marina smiled and waved at Maya. She was friendly and sparkled in the sunlight. "Do you want to see something amazing?" asked Marina. Maya nodded excitedly. They swam together into the clear blue water, where fish danced around them.
