One sunny day, Lucy, a cheerful little girl, said, "I want to bake a big strawberry cake!" Her grandma smiled and said, "Let’s gather the strawberries first!" They went to the garden, where ripe red strawberries gleamed like jewels. As Lucy picked the strawberries, she sang, "Strawberries sweet, oh what a treat! In our cake, they will dance and meet!"
In the kitchen, they mixed flour, sugar, and eggs. "Stir these well, Lucy!" Grandma said with a twinkle in her eye. Lucy stirred and giggled, sprinkling in the strawberries. The smell of baking filled the air. "It's almost ready!" shouted Lucy, jumping with joy. Soon the cake was golden brown and everyone clapped. "Hooray for our cake!" cheered Grandma, as they enjoyed slices of the delicious strawberry treat.
After they ate their cake, Grandma said, "Let's take some to our friends!" Lucy nodded excitedly, and they carefully placed slices in a basket. "To the neighbors we go!" sang Lucy, skipping along the garden path. The sun was warm and bright, and the birds sang happy tunes as they walked.
They stopped by Mr. Green's house first. "Look what we made!" Lucy exclaimed, holding out a piece of cake. Mr. Green smiled wide and said, "Thank you, Lucy, this will surely make my day!" Lucy beamed with pride, and off they went to visit Mrs. Blue and Mr. Brown, spreading joy with every slice.
As the sun began to set, Lucy and Grandma returned home, their basket empty but their hearts full. "What a wonderful adventure!" said Lucy, hugging her grandma tightly. "Yes, darling," Grandma replied softly, "It's always special when we share happiness with others." And with that, they sat together in the cozy kitchen, dreaming of their next big baking adventure.
