Alvin's Wish for a New Laptop

Alvin wanted a new laptop, oh yes he did! His old one was so slow, it made him feel sad. "I can't ask my parents," he thought. "They don’t have jobs. Maybe Uncle Todd can help!" So off he went to Uncle Todd’s house, dreaming of games and school work on a shiny, new laptop. His heart raced as he imagined it!

When Alvin arrived, Uncle Todd’s house was like a giant castle, with three stories and a pretty chandelier. "Would you like something to eat?" Uncle Todd asked with a smile. "No, thanks! I already ate," Alvin replied. He felt nervous, not knowing what to say next. "My laptop is really old and I need a new one for school... my parents can’t help me right now," he finally admitted. Uncle Todd nodded and handed Alvin $800. He couldn't believe it! He jumped for joy! "Wow, thank you, Uncle Todd!" he shouted.
