Gertie was a gigantic dragon with bright green scales and big, friendly eyes. She lived in a cozy cave at the top of a tall mountain, where flowers bloomed in colorful patches all around. Every morning, Gertie stretched her enormous wings and let out a joyful roar that echoed through the valley.
Though Gertie was big, she loved to help the little animals in the forest. One day, a tiny rabbit named Benny was stuck in a bush. Gertie flew down gently and said, 'I can help you, little friend!' with a warm smile. She carefully used her claws to free Benny, and he hopped away happily.
Benny was so grateful that he invited Gertie to a picnic with all his friends in a sunny meadow! They laid out a big red blanket and shared delicious treats like berries and carrots. Gertie watched all the little animals play and felt very happy to be a part of their fun.
As the sun began to set, Gertie told them stories about her adventures flying over the mountains and valleys. The little animals listened with wide eyes as Gertie spoke of sparkling rivers and golden fields. Gertie's tales made everyone laugh and dream of flying high in the sky.
When the stars twinkled above, Gertie said goodbye to her new friends. She promised to visit again with more stories. As she flew back to her cave, she felt joyful inside, knowing that friendship was the best treasure of all.
